Hello, Does anyone in the South East PA/ NJ/ DE/ MD area have one of these horns that I could try?

I am looking at some used ones of these for sale online, but would like to try one before I buy it.

I would be happy to drive to you, and take you out for lunch or dinner for the chance to try it.

Also if anyone has any experience playing one of these horns, how does it play? How does it compare to a Besson, or Norwegian Star, etc.?

I found this one with the much sought after 5th rotary valve - https://reverb.com/item/40295652-yamaha ... YeRjHYOnTw

Pat Sheridan made one of these sing like nobody's business when he was in the Marine Band. I owned one for about 2 years. I liked it ok, but, it lacked color and personality I thought. I later learned that ALL Yamaha horns felt that way for me. That being said, it was a pretty good horn - played in tune, responded well, and was well constructed. I would buy one again if the price were right and I wanted a 4-valve upright Eb. It's not compensating so plays more freely than the Bessons, and the Norwegian Star is just a different beast altogether. Just a simple, solid horn.

The horn is in San Antonio, which is about 1,500 miles from the area he is searching. Cool ad, though…
