My new/old tuba didn't come with a case, so I keep it standing on its bell. It's in my living room, where I practice. The room has wood floors, so I've had it sitting on a towel to protect both the floor and the bell. It looked sloppy.
I started shopping around for small rugs, but most of those were too big -- or they were bath mats that looked like bath mats.
Lo and behold, I came across this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08 ... UTF8&psc=1
It's a silicone mat made for putting under dog bowls, but it's just perfect. 21" x 26" half-circle. My horn has a 19.5" bell. My floors are very dark, so the black pretty much disappears. The rest of the horn hanging over the longer part will also work to catch any errant water drips.
I love finding inexpensive and elegant solutions like this.

Well, yeah, if you'll only have one tuba in your entire life.
I recommend you consider this instead:

I have one and it's great.
