I've got a dillema as of thursday...
I play in the jsyo and they have a super good acoustically gifted hall, and am scared if I'll be too loud if I play comfortably (comfortable dynamic is mf but the horn bumps up the mf to a ff<----exageration)
I'm mainly concerned about if I'll wrap the orchestra in a blanket of Tuba, should I be?
(the Tuba is very present jsyk)

Re: tuba dillema
Listen to those around you as you play for blend in all aspects: articulation, tuning, tone, etc., and always watch the conductor for tempo, dynamic, phrasing, etc. Learn the music and play with confidence. If you are too loud, the conductor will give you the hand.

Probably not, If you're too loud the conductor will happily(or not) tell you to be quieter.
