Sclipf mute question

Post by Cthuba »

Hey Guys!

Just curious if any of you practice with these mutes regularly and whether or not it negatively effected your playing.

Thanks!

I love my Schlipf mute! It tells me where my out of tune notes are, and I find that my intonation is much better after pulling it out.

I have two of them: a "Practice Tuba Mute" and "Tour Tuba Mute". I am using them a lot by the COVID situation, and they're both fantastic. Anyway, If I'd had to choose one, I'd choose the "Tour Tuba Mute": it brings better sound and intonation, but it bigger and heavier than the "Practice Tuba" one...
