Mouthpiece for Mack Brass TU421S - CC

Post by leningrad »

I seek mouthpiece suggestions for my Mack Brass TU421S - CC used in orchestra. Ref: https://mackbrass.com/tu421s-cc-tuba

I have tried a handful of mouthpieces but am not convinced that I have the best option for me yet.

Due to the size of my mouth and the shape of my face/embouchure, I stay away from the widest cups. I prefer mouthpieces with a more moderate ID (inner diameter).

Methinks that the Arnold Jacobs heritage model from Canadian brass would work well. Not too huge, but provides a great depth of sound even on small cc tubas.
