Hello all!

I am a current undergrad music education student at the UMN Twin Cities studying under Steve Campbell with an emphasis in tuba performance. Recently, I've begun getting into F Tuba solo repertoire and basics, but unfortunately, the school's rental MW 45SLP is not the horn for me. The leadpipe rests too high, and the horn feels too large for my smaller frame.

In terms of an instrument, I am open to just about anything that plays well or has good bones for a bit of tender love and care. 5 Valves minimum, but brand does not matter.
Price: I'm looking around the $1,000 to $3,000 range. I'd be willing to set up a financing plan, as I am an unfortunate college student :/

Condition: I am perfectly okay with an instrument that requires some minor repairs. Basic problems like stuck rotors, stuck slides, dents, etc., are not a dealbreaker. As long as it doesn't require a total overhaul, I'll be okay.
Location: I am based out of Minneapolis, but I am willing to drive a considerable distance to meet up.

If you have one available, or know some leads, please reach out via email at rfgariepy@gmail.com with the subject "F Tuba", or PM me here!
Photos and any details about the horn's history would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much, im very excited to find a new addition to my lineup!

Keep saving your money and play on the school horn. 3k budget will limit your options dramatically.
