WTB - Eb Tuba - resolved.

Postby Dan Schultz » Fri Apr 29, 2016 1:28 pm

There are two local guys looking for Eb tubas. Minimum of four valves... pistons or rotors considered. Compensating considered but not essential. Size-wise... something in the range of a Yamaha YEB-321 or larger. German, English, or better Japanese horns preferred. Chinese/Asian mports will be considered but MUST have good mechanical features regardless of how well they play. The fellows looking are both professional players.

I'm not involved here other than to just pass information along.

Have they played on your frankentuba Eb?
Jordan
King 2341 with a Holton "Monster" Eb bell
Eb Frankentuba in progress
Martin Medium Eb Helicon

Used to own, but still a fun thread: Lyon & Healy Eb

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.

Is it that good or are you just still in the process of tweaking it?

I have a new/silver/demo JP377S Sterling 3+1 comp. Eb (swapped over to a >sturdy/new< Chinese case...NOT the normally-included Winter case)

As discussed in another thread: build quality is EQUAL TO German build quality...NOT a "mock-up"

Actually... I just haven't played it enough to give it a true evaluation.
