Looking for a good 6/4 size, 4-valve BBb recording bass. Just needs to play. Will consider all brands/prices.

This big Conn lived at my kid's middle school for years. It was unplayable but in pretty good shape. We finally figured out that one of the valves wasn't original and didn't come anywhere close to lining up the ports. Had Kanstul make a new valve. Playable but the other valves leak a lot. Had a valve job done and flipped the first slide to tune from the top.Played great. Bought a Kanstul upright bell which made it nice and focused while still huge. Then my social security kicked in and I decided to stop playing the venues that I wanted to use it on because we just didn't need the money and after 43 years of playing jobs I mostly didn't like I could just do the few that I did. I traded it to a friend in the West Point band for a Sam Gnagey C tuba and he ended up having to sell it to finance his new house. If you want a huge B flat that plays great and has had everything fixed this horn would be a good candidate. If you don't want the upright bell there seem to be a lot of guys looking for one for their 20/24 J's. I hope it finds a good home. Ed

This one is listed at $3500.
That's the same one as the first one posted, it's on consignment at Dillon Music.

If you're near Chicago, I've got this 4/4 BBb Besson for sale. The bell is massive.
