WTB Olds or Reynolds BBb Sousaphone valve section

Post by GMChambers »

I rescued an old Reynolds full sized BBb horn from an antique store that was sure to be turned into a planter or something LOL. The horn is missing the complete valve set, springs, and one or two valve caps. The .690" bore valves have not been made in about 40 years. The valve caps and the size of the pistons are the same as they used in the Olds and Reynolds sousaphones and the .656" bore Olds 99 tubas.

I am wanting to purchase an Olds or Reynolds BBb sousaphone valve section with the needed parts that I have listed.

Please let me know if you have or know of what I need.

Thanks!

Is this the BBb model? Could you provide photos?

Thanks!

Bump...

Does anyone know of these parts that I am looking for? Please keep in mind I am not looking to spend a fortune because I do not even know if I will like the way the horn plays. Just trying to save an old horn from the way of someone's wall decor...

I have a complete Buescher sousaphone valve set that I could part with.

.730" bore, valves pretty good.
American sailboats, airplanes, banjos, guitars and flutes ...
Italian motorcycles and cars ...
German cameras and tubas ...
