So, it's an upright, front action parallel tuba-like-wrap cimbasso ? But wouldn't you expect an instrument like this to have the bell pointing forward to deliver the right growl to the audience ? Like a cimbasso or valve trombone ?hup_d_dup wrote:http://i.imgur.com/iVTcNKx.jpg" target="_blank" target="_blankmarccromme wrote:What is an Eb bass trombonium for a thing ?
Eb cimbasso, Eb bass trombonium, or Eb bass valve trombone are all similar instruments, although they can have very different appearances due to the wrap.

Tenor tromboniums usually have the bell angled frontwards. There's no reason you couldn't do that with a bass trombonium, but I haven't seen it. Bass trombonium is an unusual instrument and I don't think there is an agreed upon configuration.marccromme wrote: So, it's an upright, front action parallel tuba-like-wrap cimbasso ?
