Eb cimbasso, Eb bass trombonium, or Eb bass valve trombone are all similar instruments, although they can have very different appearances due to the wrap.

So, it's an upright, front action parallel tuba-like-wrap cimbasso ? But wouldn't you expect an instrument like this to have the bell pointing forward to deliver the right growl to the audience ? Like a cimbasso or valve trombone ?

Tenor tromboniums usually have the bell angled frontwards. There's no reason you couldn't do that with a bass trombonium, but I haven't seen it. Bass trombonium is an unusual instrument and I don't think there is an agreed upon configuration.

Personally I believe I would prefer to have the bell facing up, but I guess it would depend on the individual instrument.

Bump

Would be willing to consider rotary valves, if the price is right.
