Here's a mammoth sousaphone bell.

I vaguely remember the comment that at least their tennons matched. And looking at both a recording bell and a sousa bell, they seemed the same depth front to back. Sousa bell just spread wider.

If ya happen to try it out, let us curious types know how it works...

Thank you. I've sorted out on my Martin.

The recording bells are tilted up a bit. So the bend is probably 45 or perhaps 60 degrees. A sousaphone bell is 90 degrees so would point straight forward .
