CC Pro Horn-BOUGHT A HORN

Post by johnhadden »

Hello, all. I'm in the market for a horn to replace the Nirschl that I sold recently. Some specific horns I know I'm interested in include:

B&S PT-6(P) (3098, 3198)
MW 2000
B&S MRP CC
MW 3225 "Ursus"
MW 5450
MW 5450

Just putting some feelers out. Thanks!

If Buffet expects you to appear with one of theirs they should give you one.

They don't expect anything! And what sort of horn would it be if I didn't "work" for it. I don't want anything handed to me!

I think objectively speaking anyway this list of horns is great, regardless of brand. I played a MRP CC of a colleague's of mine at Indiana during my Master's and to me it was like the PT-6P I used to play on, but the things I didn't like on the 6p I liked better on the MRP CC. That's just one example of a horn I would LOVE to own. So long as I earn it :)

I, too, have a horn for sale. I'll be in Florida in a month, too; could meet you in person to deliver.

These aren't bad horns by any means, but I've played two in my life and I know a few other models that I'll be able to find in my price range that I prefer over the PT-606. Even if this is a fantastic example of the model, the model itself is something that I prefer other horns over. Thanks though.

What are you looking to move to? Bigger?

I have a Marzan 'slant-rotor' CC that would serve you well in about any setting. It's on hold until October 26th. Let me know after that date if you are still looking.

The 5450 appears on his list twice, so maybe he's REALLY interested in it? :tuba:

Trying to move up to a 6/4. The Pt606 has done well for many years, its just time to get a larger horn and a medium F
