WTB (or can trade for): 6/4 rotary BBb Kaiser tuba

Post by WakinAZ »

WTB: 6/4 rotary BBb Kaiser tuba
Primarily interested in Cerveny 601 or stencils, but open to other makes/models.

Will buy outright or trade my current rotary BBb, or some combination.

Trade option: I'm looking to size up from my very good, excellent condition Dillon 4/4+ Yamaha YBB-641 copy, so if you're looking to downsize, let's talk.

I'm in Tucson, AZ.

Thanks,
Eric L.

Are you still set on BBb, or is a CC 601 allowable? ;)

Tyler, I'm dead set on my comfort key of BB-flat.

Hal, I have seen that one, a bit more that I'm looking to pay, but thanks for reminding me.

It's been on there for months and months- maybe there's some wiggle room in that five grand price tag..

those older miraphone Kaisers have a bit of a dodgy reputation, but I guess any horn that big is going to have some interesting quirks.

It's a true German Kaiser in very good shape.
Good luck,
Lars

Yes I saw that. Looks pretty good except it has clock Springs and is raw brass, two strikes for this guy. I could probably put up with the raw brass although I really don't like it.
But the clock Springs just make me nervous. The techs in the town I live in are not really that great - I have trouble getting decent work done on the more common setups, let alone old technology.
