My son has an early TE900 CC tuba that he loves to play and sounds fantastic on but has the crappiest vavles known to man. Casing bores are different sizes and the threads for the caps are terrible. I'm currently using tape wrapped around two of the valves so the caps will stay on.
I'm looking at the easy way first, changing out caps if I can find any, but if not, the hard way, changing out the whole valve cluster. Which is probably what we really need to do providing I can find a cluster that's reasonably priced.
