WTB Contrabass Trombone

Postby MDORVAL » Sat Jul 07, 2018 9:00 pm

Folks,
I'm in the market for a Contrabass Trombone which is in very good condition (less than 5-10 years if possible). I would prefer model in F, but am open to model in BBb or CC. I live in upstate New York (surrounding of Rochester). I'm willing to drive a couple of hours for a serious seller with the right horn for me.
Thanks in advance for the offers,
Mike

Don't have a fixed budget, but won't pay over $ 8,000-$ 9,000 for a used CB Trombone, depending the brand and the condition of the horn.

I know one guy that picked up a demo rath for that price , but it's rare to see a top quality CB for less than 10. Have you asked on the contrabass group on Facebook? I would think you would get better results there than here

Going to be at ITF next week?

Thanks Mark,
I'm not on Facebook, so do you know a different way to reach them? Do they have a forum, like Tubenet?
Thanks again,
MD

Nope, just Facebook

There is a trombone forum called trombonechat, but it doesn't have that many contras on it.

For that budget you could buy 3 wessex contras (original, unique design, I have one) or look at the kanstul. I think it sells for for less than your range and budget

$7500, which might (??) leave you with a house payment, gas money, and grocery money remaining...
