WTB/WTT: Old 1920's Conn Sousaphone Neck and Bits

Post by cthompsonjr »

Looking for 1920's era Conn sousaphone neck and bits. Mainly looking for bits, but if someone has a neck for sale or trade, I'll take it! Finish doesn't matter. Willing to buy or trade for newer style neck/bits.

If you get a 38K or a 40K, the neck is the same as the old-style 20K neck. The bits are unchanged since, I believe, the day Conn started making souzys.

Hi,

They are pretty much uniform, except the ends are shaped differently. The 1920's neck has a rounded end were you put the bit in, whereas, the modern neck has an end that is pointed in the middle of it.

Also, the older necks are slightly longer in length and sturdier. I basically want a set to match my 1920's 38K.
