There's this for $1600: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=95258

This one has rotary valves, but it's only $1250 and looks fun: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=96021

Dillon Music (dillonmusic.com) has two King 2341s- an upright bell and a recording bell. $2100/ea. They are very reliable and the tuba man, Matt Walters, knows a lot about tubas and how they work.

If you wait awhile, you should be able to get a King 12/2341 for under $2000 in fair shape. I bought one six months ago for $1500. It plays well. Some would say it is ugly while I say it's "seasoned". Shiny is nice. Very nice! But it costs a lot more. If I got a ping dent in my horn, I probably wouldn't know where to find it. I might get the bell super-straightened and maybe sprayed but would never have it overhauled/restored. I'd sell it for what I had in it and buy one that was better from the start. It's not like C+/B- King 12/2341s are rare.

It's March 31, 2020 and this one is still listed on Craigslist. Reynolds Contempora, very similar to King 12/2341, $1600, two bells, shiny, cases. Joebob sez check it out.

Yeah. I should have said "check it out!"

That old rotary in the other add looks like it might be a treat for $1250, though.

Not piston, but a good horn for the money. I can help get it to you as well.
