Hi,

I'm looking to see if anyone has any of these lying around before I buy new:

RT-45
Mr P 4.8
... any other recommendations for a small (3/4) 3 valve Yamaha YBB-105 I just picked up for fun? Currently playing a Mr. P 5.0 and it sounds great, just looking for a little easier high register.

Also, I've been out of the game for a while... what happened to Laskey Tuba Mouthpieces?

Scott Laskey passed away a few years ago, and his family sold the business.

I believe the new owners are preparing to restart sometime soon-ish(?) building his mouthpieces in Vancouver, BC(?). Something like that?

In the meantime, replicas of the 30H, G, and F are available here:

Pretty sure these are all made by Jim New, so they are going to be very, very well made mouthpieces.

I appreciate the update. Thank you.

Eastman is the new owner of Laskey Mouthpieces.

I’ve got a gold-plated RT-48 up for sale on the forum, and a PT-50 I would be willing to part with as well. Not exactly what you are looking for, so no pressure, but they are very, very similar to the Mr P. pieces, as I play on a Mr. P on F tuba.
