Is it filled with cement and then painted? Good work!

Yes, its filled with cement and painted. Kids like to run over mailboxes down here for kicks. I wanted to make sure they totaled the car if they try it. :)

So the last picture shows it complete. To round it out should I put some cheesy fake flowers around the base or a couple of pink flamingos? Help me decide. :D

It sounds like it would be a fun idea, but living here in the NorthEast and having a mailbox out on the roadside of my property, it would get demolished by a snow plow in the Winter. You see many folks put up a wood block just before the mailbox in the Winter to avoid your mailbox being 'plowed' and moved to parts unknown....

For the last couple months we have had a succession of mail carriers and the mail has been really screwed up. When I talked to the postmaster about it he explained that we were getting subs because our regular carrier was on a sabatical in Italy.
