Re: Braces for removable valveset

Post by Dan Schultz »

When I rebuild horns that have detachable braces... Yamaha and Kings... the first thing I do is replace those detachable things with fixed braces that are made to fit perfectly where I need them.

It didn't take King long to figure out that removable valve sections were a pain in the ***. Having braces that are screwed together are a great way to distort the ports on pistons. Moving detachable valve sections from horn-to-horn often does not work well.
