"Bulldog" Helicon

Post by Heliconer »

So for the longest time ive had a Mammoth body laying around, the valves having been cannabalized for another project, just collecting dust. I chopped a miraphone 186 Bell, and have discovered that a conn 20J valve set plugs right in, and is surpisingly comfortable!

Tomorrow Ill order finger buttons and the lower gooseneck from Allied. Very excited to finish this idea up after 2 years of scheming. I'll also have to figure out if it's closer to CC or BBb, and whether to add tubing, or take it away

Very cool! Could you post a picture with you holding it? The top action valve set is interesting to see on there.

Could you also post a close up photo of how the goose neck goes into the valves? Thanks! I'm very jealous...
