Not all of the K-Modifieds were engraved. I have two K-modified Lightweight 24B horns from 1964 and neither one of them have the extensive engraving that Selmers are known for. Maybe someone could tell me if that is part of the "Lightweight" for them to be without engraving. I've only seen the serial number lists and know little else about the details of these instruments. I've had one of them since Jr, high (almost 50 years!) and the other bought last year for resale. The price was waaaay too low and it didn't need an overhaul to put it in top shape.

If you ever watched the 1960's Jackie Gleason (variety) Show - and remember the theme - Don Goldie was the lead trumpet player in that show's band, and played that not-easily-forgotten opening motif.
Jackie Gleason was a staple in our house growing up and I remember the opening motif. "Big" trumpet sound.

Hmm. The valve buttons look like Selmer sub-contracted the horn out to Couesnon.

Are you trying to get me pist-off?
 This is a pist-on model.
Hmm. Looks like Bort was trying to push your buttons.
