What size mallets do you own for popping out rotary valves or freeing back plates? I'm looking at getting a couple of different sizes.
I'd like to start disassembling my valves and clean them between bringing it in for a chem clean.

Just to be sure, a 2" face, right? I was thinking of getting a Garland size 4 rawhide.
Would you use the same size for smaller rotars? I also have a couple of horns (conn 8d and a H179) that I wouldn't mind doing this work to as well.

For the dowel I cut around 2” from a broom stick and drilled a 3/8” hole in the center.
