getting those cute little Buescher Eb helicons down to A=440

I'm not going to do pictures or instigate a "thread" here, but if you own one of these - and would like some advice (based on my experience) you can call me on the phone. (I'm not typing all that.)

Lengthen the main tuning slide, and pull the individual valve slides as necessary.

They play remarkably well in tune with themselves...

The issue with lengthening them to A=440 is "how one manages to lengthen them without the main slide sticking out too far past the body's main circle...but there is no interest in the solution, so...
