Re-routing 4th valve tubing to make room for longer slide?

I have an old B&S 3096 CC 4 valve tuba that I was considering having installed a 5th valve on.
That is - until I read a post about re-routing the 4th valve tubing to make room for a longer tuning slide.
Actually I don't mind the slide pulling and considering the risk of creating resistance when having a 5th valve installed I have got more hooked on a longer tuning slide for my 4th valve and maybe a trigger to operate it.
But - there is not enough room for a longer slide.
Is the re-routing typically a complicated operation?
Maybe it is going to be just as expensive as having a 5th valve installed?
One last question: I've tried to get in contact with B&S Markneukirchen to get a price on longer tuning slides but they don't answer.
Anybody had the same bad experience with B&S not answering?
