"Factory" Case Repair

Postby NDCompuGeek » Sun May 19, 2019 11:20 pm

Can an ABS thin-wall "Factory" case be repaired? My daughter's saxophone case was kicked and the corner broken at her school, and I'm wondering if this is repairable, or is it a break that requires replacement.

I figure it's about the same thickness as brass instrument "factory" cases, thus my question to the forum.

You can try floating hot glue in there with a low flame, but it needs to be just barely at the melting point, so it doesn’t just fall through the hole, and you have to not melt the plastic onto which you are floating the hot glue. Once you are successful, you can trim it and paint it black
