What? Did you expect a "Marching F Tuba"!? :P
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Having been to the UK several times, including college choir tours, yes, Eb is the standard pitch for most tubas, even traditionally for those who play in orchestras. There are those who would say that is slowly changing to CC.

But unlike American primary or elementary schools, if you start to play tuba, whether brass band or concert/mixed band, you will be started on an Eb.

Is that actually a tuba? I've seen marching baritones like that, but never a tuba...

Too bad that dealer just got a bad rep here on TubeNet. It would be fun to play the 3rd trumpet part in a jazz band on that thing...

There are some small student Bb tubas over here, but most players probably start (and many remain) on Eb.

Use of CC is largely confined to orchestral players, although the majority of amateurs and even a couple of professionals (to my knowledge) still only use Eb.
