Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Bears a strong resemblance to this Cerveny at horn-u-copia, though...

I went to school with a guy that had one of the Belgian Sears, and it was piston. I'm not sure that either DePrins or Mahillion ever did rotary tubas.

What makes you think it is not a Cerveny?the elephant wrote:It looks a little funny for a Cerveny.

Yes, but they're pushing a lot more mass than a horn. They tend to fray, and then snap when you get excited and push harder during a performance. I carried pre-strung spares on my Marzan for quicker in-concert switches, but then I had them converted. And never regretted it.the elephant wrote:I dig the old string linkages. Very quiet.

It's a Cerveny. I had one a couple of years back. They are good horns. I actually liked the string linkages. I guess I don't get as excited as the 'Bug' when I play.

I had a King Monster Recording Bass with 4 string linkage rotors. Fastest Valves I've ever played, no comparison. The new Yamaha strings can pull the QEII, and I never had a problem with them breaking.
No question, best tuba I've ever owned. But socially unacceptable with the recording bell...

It looks almost identical to my high school two Cerveny BBbs, except this one doesn't have any dents in the bottom bow.
Only difference I can see is the valves, other than that, I'll cast my vote, it's a cerveny.
