If the specs are right, it sure looks like it. I disagree about the "air and strength" thing though; Relax and open up and these horns are very agile.

I guess it looks like the one I got in the late '80s, but mine was 4 valves and no wreath. I don't really remember. Protective amnesia. Most misguided instrument purchase ever. The problem was more me than the tuba, so others would be more qualified to speak to the virtues of this model in the hands of a more capable player. The guy who bought it sounds good on it, by all accounts, though when I later ran into him he didn't take much advantage of the opportunity to sing its praises.
