Is it for sale again or is it a fake???

Ahh, sorry about that, I didn't know, the previous post if from before my time.

I thought that the auction didn't have the usual character of a scam, but did take note that the seller has no feedback.

At any rate, I'd never seen such a beast, and it is a real work of art.

The ebay auction is listed in St Louis, in an old post someone said that it was won last time by Kit Johnson, who is NOT in St. Louis. My guess is it's a scam.

I'm 99.9% certain that this horn is still in the ownership of Kit Johnson. I can't imagine Kit selling this horn.

Well, how many Ebay tuba auctions are scams? More than that I think.

(Although now that I think about it, tuba's probably aren't a very good representation of every item on Ebay.)

There was a lot of Marzan stuff on ebay a while ago.... I wish I had the bread to toss at some of that while it was available

That collection was from the estate of the late Fred Marzan. Buddy Rodgers Music in Cincinnati handled the auctions. I bid on the copper Sander tuba but didn't ride it out 'til the end. Great horns!

I guess I shouldn't be greedy. I regularly play a piston and a slant-rotor Marzan... both BBb horns.

I seem to recall a figure around $8,000.
