Greetings!
Saxton's Cornet Band, http://saxtonscornetband.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank a Civil War vintage band here in Kentucky is clearing out some extra instruments (they are NOT going out of business), merely selling off some duplicate instruments.
If anyone is interested, these include an over the shoulder Bass tuba.
Here is a list of the instruments for sale, please search for the titles exactly as they appear to get them to come up. I believe I have put a link to the Eb tuba.

Re: Civil War Over the Shoulder Instruments
Very cool. I have e-mailed the Dodworth Saxhorn Band's instrument manager. I'm not used to seeing vintage instruments polished. The OTS I usually play is German silver, quite light. I would be interested to play this one.

I saw ghost riders in the sky, and they each played a York EEb tuba.

Yes, I agree that most are not polished.
This one plays pretty well, takes some getting used too. Makes a very full sound, although you have to get used to the sound being so far from your ears.
It's a nice price for a horn in this good a shape. Someone will be very happy!
