Good tubas. Indeed... the valve section is within a few thousanths of an inch of being the same as that of a King.

My recollection of these old horns makes me think that anybody wanting to pick up a decent BBb at a possibly cheap price should be going for this. It looks like the valves could use a set of Blokes HOLY MOLYs and who knows, maybe a valve refit - maybe not either.
In the early 60s these were available with a trigger on the first valve slide and even with the 3v models, with that trigger, which could easily be installed here, it should be a very easy horn to play in tune with a good sound.
It should not be too hard to get an upright bell to go with it, in fact I seem to recall having seen one or two on ebay recently.
Might go buy an instant lottery ticket so I can bid on it and a few other sales here and there.
