Obviously a 70's horn. I doubt if anyone would 'upgrade' current student production to the cheesy plastic uniballs. It's not often that I see a Mirafone from this era with un-engraved rotor caps, plain ferrules, and brass outer slide tubes.

Yep - looks like one of the S-186 models so lauded in the late 80s...
