Blessing junior sousaphone (Conn-like)

Has that Conn look, and marked "Elkhart", and has a Conn serial number (mid 50's) so Conn is highly probable.
Is it a "Junior" BBb, maybe a 3/4 or 3/4+ size? Just looks skinny.

And is that broken leadpipe something that could be replaced?

The little nodes on the first valve slide remind me of a King 2350.

Blessing is a separate company, also located in Elkhart. They make fairly high quality horns that sell at intermediate prices. Given the large amount of stenciling that has happened, this horn may have been stenciled, but "Elkhart" is not a clue because that is also Blessing's location.

The nickel-silver outer slides are probably the biggest clue. I don't know what it means, but it has to indicate something.

The valve caps and brace feet sure look like Böhm & Meinl.

Nickel silver slides are very European.

I will guess it's a stencil, höchstwahrscheinlich aus Deutschland....

Winner! B&M/York Master is the match, thanks for that.

Any idea of quality, value, playing characteristics? Weight?

Ebayer o***s, feedback mid-200's, strikes again. This guy is mental, he serial bids on every friggin sousaphone. Could this imbecile with a garage of 200 sousaphones be a Tubenetter? He also bids on vintage video game consoles.
