Tuba

Post by proam »

**** The listing has now been removed ****

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tuba-/182211406391" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank?

Likely the most minimal ebay ad I've ever seen. It does mention "Miraphone" as the brand in the item specifics section.

Now that we can see what's really there, it's a fairly attractive opportunity for someone.

As long as that hovers below/around $6,500 that would be a very fair price for a 1291. Great tubas.

Side note -- it's interesting to see a slightly beat-up 1291. In my mind, this is still a "new tuba model." Guess it's been a little while, now! Longer than I realize!

Well, the original ad just said "Tuba" with no description, that I recall. There was one photo showing the top foot, maybe, of a straight, lacquered bell that had a definite wave in the rim. It was definitely not one of the photos now there. Wish I had taken a screen snapshot now.

I guess it was just an ad in progress and I just happened to catch it at the right (or wrong) time.

The seller seems to deal in a little bit of everything.

I saw that when you posted it! I'm guessing you are right that it was an ad in progress.
