Big Old Holton Bb for 200 in Charlotte!

Post by daktx2 »

Looks like it's in really nice condition! If I weren't 2000 miles away I'd be buying it instead of posting about it.

How do you tell mammoth Holtons from 4/4 (quasi York 33)? They are proportioned almost exactly the same, so if you can't see fat wraps on the back it's hard. Think this one is the 4/4.

Good info!

By "big old" I was just referring to the bell! I'm not so familiar with older Holton models.

If someone asked or wanted, I could see if the seller would let me try it out, an I could report back, condition, tone, valves, dents...a review, retired and about an hour away.
