The Rampone family company dates back to 1847. Rampone Logo Battista Cazzani was a maker of saxophones, from an unknown date. After a marriage, the two companies merged around 1910. Egidio Rampone became the partner of Cazzani in 1912. 1920 when Cazzani died, the company was named Ditte riunite A. Rampone e B Cazzani e C

In the first part of the 20th Century, they prospered. But then the company began to decline and was in near bankruptcy in 1957. It was purchased by Femando Sallamerenda. They continue to make a full line of wind instruments
