High quality horns.

Too bad it doesn't have the nifty Keefer finger buttons, though..... :(

Those are nifty. Were they OEM on all Keefer horns?

Pictures in horn-u-copia got the nifty finger buttons, but i have not seen them on a tuba in person yet.

Tanks for pointing it out!

I am a big fan of Keefer, Distin, and Boosey & Co, which probably says more about me than it does about them...

I believe Baltimore Brass still has a Keefer Sousaphone listed.
Thanks for playing!

FWIW I have a beautiful silver Keefer sousaphone bell that I would love to find a horn for.

OR

If someone has a bell-less Keefer sousie I would part with the bell to make it whole.

Listing just ended. Too expensive for what could possibly be a less-than-perfect horn. (In my opinion)

Re: KEEFER Eb helicon

The helicon hasn't reappeared, so presumably it has found a hapoy home. And someone beat me to Baltimore Brass, as the Sousaphone is no longer listed. Alas, alack and well-a-day.

If anyone here got it, from the pictures, it looked like it had been adapted for a more modern sousaphone neck. I wouldn't mind hearing how that worked. But it is just idle curiosity...

I also meant to mention for the benefit of other Keefer seekers that Dillon Music has an Eb Keefer helicon listed as well.

And this one not only has a lyre and a mouthpiece, it has fancy enamel finger buttons.

Who could ask for anything more?

And my apologies for inflicting my obsession on everyone here.

Has anyone here played one of these as well as a York Monster Eb and who can give a comparison?
