If this guy is 'legit' and the tuba is in overall good playing/cosmetic condition, then this is a great deal. But I'd still be cautious

Possibly the finest BBb tuba I've ever played was an old 1980s B&S PT-1.  Buttery/even sound & response, good intonation -- nothing 'wild' that I remember.  That was many years ago, but I remember how great that tuba was 
   Played another PT-1 (1990s model) years later, and it was good but not great like that first 1980s model.  So those tubas don't all play exactly the same.  Kind of a largish 4/4 rotary BBb -- nearly as large as a M-W 25 BBb.
