That's a great price ($1,800 reserve) on a fine tuba! I played one all through college, only sold it when I switched back to BBb. The 661 has a BIG bore if I remember, and you can really put out a lot of sound. If you have Stauffer's "Treatise on the Tuba" there is a picture of this model, and it's called a "Kaisertuba" based on the bore size alone. It's quite short however, and very easy to manage for a player of any stature. It worked for me in band, quintet, tuba ensemble, and orchestra, and would be a great instrument for a college student or professional.
