Is this a Conn 48K?

I bought a 40K earlier this year, which is currently with Lee Stofer being "play conditioned." This looks like a larger horn to me, like the 48K would have been. I thought that a 48K would have a 28" bell though. Anyone know?

It sure looks like the 4-valve version of this one. It must be a 48K.

Has anyone checked the Conn Loyalist page to see if there is any info there?

Well, if anyone on here is the winning bidder, it would be cool to see some pictures of this gem all fixed up...

The winning bidder is me, and apparently I live only 30 miles south of you, so can see the horn in person if you want. I don't intend to fix this horn up beyond making it playable and shiny.

That's great! Let me know when you get her all ready. Would be interesting to hear how this bad boy plays.

It sounds and plays great! Too bad the original neck is gone, this one (from a 20k probably) is too long and the horn is flat even with no bits. Ill probably bring it to the L.A. tuba xmas.
