York never got to serial number 409---, let alone York & Sons (which this horn looks like), which was earlier

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Sorry, he made an error typing his dashes, there should only be two. This York euphonium has a serial number of 4097X. According to the list you linked to that should put it right around 1913.
