As Bloke has implied, this one seems a little over priced compared to what others have been selling for on ebay recently.
(But then again, it was bought for the "buy-it-now" price of $3000. That's higher than I would have put its worth, but it was worth it to someone. On the other hand, this DB euph seems to me to be worth that amount of money:

so is this a double belled euphonium, or a conjoined tuba-eupha?

DB euphonium. There have been a few double bell tubas made, including the most famous being one that King made (that supposedly played like crap) but this is clearly a euphonium.

Of course there is also the "Bellophone" which was manufactured for Bill Bell and is now owned by Eli Newberger. I believe it is a BBb/F combination.
That's the one that I was thinking of, and which is pictured in an old King ad that I have. Now if I could only find that ad...

And I thought it was just a euphonium in the act of procreating... something one didn't talk about in "polite" company...

This is typical of some of the sellers on eBay who don't know a tuba from a euphonium... So they use both terms confusing those of us who know what it is!
It's just your average double belled euphonium--the main bell is upright.
