Sorry about the guessing.

I don't think it's that old. All the really old trucks I've seen have convex bumpers the same as cars. The older ones were round, and the not-so-old onces were stamped just like car bumpers. I'm not sure the factories ever made them from formed junior channels, though that was common in the aftermarket or as a dealer-installed options. Rear bumpers were not a standard item on pickups until the last coupla decades.

It's definitely a rear bumper, because of the hole for a trailer hitch.

The only oddity that gives credence to more advanced age is that it lacks enough space in the center section for mounting a license plate. Other than that, it's identical in configuration to the home-made bumper that was on my 1974 GMC pickup, which was also made from a 4" junior channel welded to flat-bar struts.

Hmmm, I've got a really nice driver's side door panel from looks to be a 60's International that's been sitting under some trees for the last dozen or so years. Sort of teal and white and refuses to rust, even when piled over with fir needles. Anyone want it?

It is definately NOT a factory item. It is formed from 4" channel iron in a press. It would most likely have been a dealer after market add-on item. The factory bumpers were lighter weight stamped steel. I have seen one (or many) like it before on the pick ups that my father's construction company used to own. We used to have several old 1955 and 1956 Ford 3/4 and 1 ton pick ups that need to haul equipment to the job site and later some 1962 and 1963 Ford F-250 and F-350 pick ups. I could have seen a bumper like that on any of them.
