I'd almost say that it does disqualify it from a BAT. If the rest of the horn is a BAT, and the bell is only 17 3/4 inches, the bell diameter is too small.

But, I don't really know.
I think I might end up as a grumpy old man when I get old...

Wow...I think our school has a Conn version of the Martin tuba...I'll have to try it for one of our songs...
