3-banger non-compensating barifonium? Uncommon, but I wouldn't say rare.

I've got a 4-valve compensating front-action Besson, though...that's pretty uncommon.

It dates from 1931, according to the Besson serial number list. The whole thing is nickel-plated, except for the slides and the bell (which isn't original). I suspect that it may have had a bell-front configuration at one time, but I have no way of knowing.

As far as playing, it plays okay and the intonation is pretty good. It's stuffier than a 3+1 New Standard however.

I mostly keep it around hanging on the wall of my shop as a curiosity.
