I've just listed my Martin BBflat on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

Following is the description:

I got this instrument from Louis Saverino (1915-2003), who was the legendary principal tubist of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band in Washington, DC from the 1940s until early 1960s.

Following are specifications for this instrument: Bore: .703" Serial number: 20079 Three piston valves. Satin Silver Finish. Bell diameter: 20.25" Height when standing on Bell: 34" This is a large instrument - the bottom bow measures 16 1/8" around measured at the center, 20 1/8" where the bottom bow meets the Bell and 13 5/8" around where the bottom bow connects to the main horn. The horn is at least 4/4 size but several knowledgeable repairmen have advised that the overall combination of bell/large branches make this closer to a 5/4 horn. Having played professionally, this horn feels more like a 5/4. A new, larger lead pipe was installed in 2000 by Cameron Gates to excellent effect. I have and will include the original lead pipe (see photo) with the horn, but the horn plays much better with the new lead pipe.

I have included a number of detailed photos with the listing so all interested parties can get a good look at the horn from many angles.

Thanks for looking,

Frank
