FWIW, I believe that these are old B&S horns. You could do much worse for the money.
Zeiss lookalike?

I may be dreaming but this looks just like a horn I played a while back somewhere that was marked as a Zeiss. PS, Dan - did you see that leadpipe? Flat as pita bread.

Yeah.... that leadpipe does have a couple of 'dings' in it

Don't know about the Zeiss tubas but this one is the same as Sonora, Gerhart Schneider, and Carl Wunderlick that were stencils made my B & S. I worked on a Zeiss (new bell) last week that had the same wrap configuration as this horn but I know it was made in Czechoslovakia (most likely Cerveny). There is another thread going about this, but I don't think any of the Zeiss tubas were made by B & S. The glaring differences are the configuration of the attachment plates. Cerveny and B & S have dramatic difference in that respect. Even the new B & S horns retain the same plate shape as this horn.

I've seen Cerveny made Ziess tubas and B&S made Ziess tubas side by side. The B&S-made ones are identical to the Sonora, Schneider, Giardinelli, etc... I've seen fewer B&S made ones, but that's a limited sample.

Yup. I REALLY like the rubber bands on the linkages!
