Has anyone dealt with this seller before? I have a prospective euph student looking for a horn and they dug this up.

That's quite a bit of cash for a beat-up 3-valve student euphonium, isn't it?

With a serial number under 100,000.... this horn has the old style pistons and guides. Make sure the valves are in good shape before you buy. The replacements come as a kit with piston, stem, guide, and washer. Not a bad conversion but I thought I would flag you that this is an older Yamaha.

Thanks guys. Being that it's ebay, my thoughts jumped right to verifying the legitimacy of the seller without really considering the horn that carefully. I also haven't bought any used euphoniums lately. My parents paid more than that for my first instrument about 10 years ago, and that horn wasn't (and still isn't) in great shape, although it played noticably better (even to me as a beginner) than any of the school horns. Anyway, thanks. It's a jungle out there.
